New lifts to be installed at Faversham railway station

New lifts are to be installed at Faversham railway station, this follows a previous planning refusal at the station. We support the new lifts, which will be very helpful for cyclists, and hope that they are of sufficient size for properly carrying a number of bicycles simultaneously. Maps and guides are now online for the free Big Wheel of Kent cycle event on Sunday 13th June:

The Folkestone to Canterbury map and guide will be online in the next few days.

Swale Cycle Forum

A new Swale Cycle Forum is being formed. Spokes participate in a number of cycle forums, which engage members of the public, local and county authorities, businesses, etc. to further develop and promote cycling. Objectives of the new Swale Cycle Forum will include the creation of a Swale Cycling Strategy and proposing new cycle routes and parking. The forum’s first meeting will be on May 27th.
